Product Features

Hybrid HM is a high-quality adhesive-sealant that polymerizes by reaction with moisture, creating a permanent elastic mass that does not shrink or swell. Its innovative formula absorbs vibrations and acoustically isolates the bonded elements, making it perfect for applications in environments subject to movement or mechanical stress.

The product contains an antimicrobial and anti-algal agent which makes it ideal for use in healthcare environments. Hybrid HM is resistant to UV rays, ageing, chemicals and water stagnation. It adheres effectively to various building materials, both natural and synthetic, smooth or porous, including glass, metal, wood and masonry.

This sealant does not emit corrosive substances or develop unpleasant odors, and is free of solvents and isocyanates. The EC1 Plus certification guarantees its very low VOC emissions, making it safe for use in indoor and outdoor environments.

Fields of Application

Hybrid HM is ideal for making joints between building elements, both vertical and horizontal. Once hardened, it can be painted and offers good resistance to atmospheric agents. It is particularly suitable for invisible and high mechanical resistance bonds, suitable for applications on glass, rigid plastics, metal supports, plasterboard, plaster, masonry, wood and fibre cement.

Instructions for Use

Use as a Sealant

  1. The joint sides must be solid, clean, degreased and consistent.
  2. Insert the Buffer Cord to ensure the correct proportion of the seal and non-adhesion on the bottom of the joint.
  3. Protect the edges of the joint with self-adhesive paper tape.
  4. Cut the nozzle to a diameter proportional to the size of the joint.
  5. Inject an excess amount of Hybrid HM.
  6. Smooth with a spatula moistened with Smooth smoothing agent before the surface film begins to form. Apply a certain pressure to obtain a void-free filling and complete adhesion of the sealant on the sides of the joint.
  7. Remove the protective tape immediately.

Use as Adhesive

  1. Surfaces must be solid, clean, degreased and consistent.
  2. Insert the cartridge/bag into the appropriate gun, open it, screw on the nozzle and cut it according to the desired quantity.
  3. Spread the adhesive with a notched trowel in sufficient quantity to cover the bonding area.
  4. Apply a thickness of 2 mm to ensure the elasticity of the adhesive layer.
  5. Bring the materials into position and glue them before surface filming.
  6. Secure the bodies externally to support their weight during the first 24 hours.

Certifications and Safety

Hybrid HM complies with EN 15651-1:2012 and EN 15651-3:2012, certified as a non-structural joint sealant for use in facades and healthcare environments. It is classified as EC1 Plus for low VOC emissions.

Warnings

  • Do not apply at temperatures below 0°C.
  • Do not use in constantly wet environments or in continuous contact with water or chlorine.
  • Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause yellowing.
  • Check the adhesion of Hybrid HM with preliminary tests on plastic or dubious substrates.
  • Clean tools with paper and alcohol while Hybrid HM is still fresh, mechanically after hardening.
  • Not suitable for: PE, PP, PMMA, PTFE, polycarbonate, soft plastics, neoprene and bituminous surfaces.

Storage

Store in a dry place, protected from frost and heat. In the original closed box and protected from UV rays it will keep for at least 12 months.
